Nottinghamshire started the day on 224 for 8. But they could only manage 240 all out with Martin Bicknell claming five wickets. Adam Holliokae then decided to enforce the follow on. Azhar Mahmood and Martin Bicknell then came out and ripped through the Nottinghamshie top order. Mahmood claimed four wickets and Bicknell took two as Notts were reduced to 45 for 6. Franks and Read then added 84 to take the score to 129. Franks had reached 27 when he was bowled by Holliokae. Read was then joined by Greg Smith and together they put on 104. But with the score on 233 Read was dismissed for a superb 93 when he was caught by Mahmood off Salisbury. Just 6 runs later and Smith was out for 42 when he was caught by Brown off Saqlain. With the score on 242 Macgill was final man out for 2. Surrey had won by a massive margin of an innings and 211 runs.
