A Billy Taylor hatrick sinks the lions

Billy Taylor took the first hatrick of the new season as Sussex Just managed to Surrey by losing fewer wickets. Meamwhile Ian Ward took 2 wickets for Surrey.
Sussex beat Surrey yesterday at Hove by losing fewer wickets.
Surrey stand in Captain Ian Ward won the toss and decided to bat. But Surrey soon lost a wicket losing Michael Carberry for 7. Alec Stewart was next to go for 11 and that made the score 59 for 2. But then stand in Captain Ian Ward and opener Ali brown put on 91 to take surrey to 145 for 3. Ward was finally dismissed by Will House for a 46 from just 54 balls. Unfortunately Ali Brown scored 97 just 3 away from another hundred. But the innings was not over. Sussex pacemen Billy Taylor took the first hatrick of the new season as he dismissed James Oromond, Phil sampson and finally Ed Giddens.
Surrey started well by reducing Sussex to 68 for 3. But Richard Montgomerie
Scored 66 to put Susssex into the driving seat. But then stand in Captain Ian Ward decided to have a bowl and he soon took the wicket of Tony Cottty and then on the next ball Ward took another wicket this time it was Robin Martin-Jenkins. Ian Ward was on a hatrick but unfortunately Yardy kept the ball out. But Ward’s efforts were to be in vain as Sussex just managed to beat Surrey by losing fewer wickets as Azhar Mahmood took 2 late wickets.
