Surrey win in C and G cup

Surrey beat Scotland in the C and G cup on Wednesday thanks to 101 from Mark Ramprakash. Scotland were 63 for 4 when the rain came down. This ment no more play was possible and Surrey won on the D/L method

Surrey beat Scotland by 55 runs on the D/L method in the C and G cup.

Scotland won the toss and decided to field. This looked a good decision when Ali Brown was removed for naught. But a patnership of 111 between Ian Ward and Mark Ramprakash helped Surrey recover from thier bad start. Ward was finally run out for a well worked 58. So that brought Nadeem Sahid to the crease. He scored 65 not out from just 68 balls. Te hero of the Surrey innings was Mark Ramprakash who scored an excellent 101 not out and led Surrey to 246 for 2 of their 50 overs.

Scotland were then reduced to 63 for 4 with James Ormond picking up 2 wickets. But then heavy rain washed out the rest of the days play and Surrey won on the D/L method by 55 runs.
