Surrey defeated in one day match

Surrey lost in thei national league match against Northamptionshire today. Mal Loye and Michael Hussy put on a massive 127 for Northamtonshire as they won by 5 runs.

Northmatonshore beat the Surrey lions by just 5 runs at Northampton

Northamptonshire won the toss and decided to bat. Michael Hussy and Mal Loye had on a massive 129, when Ed Giddins bowled Hussy for 69. Surrey then fought back and took 3 more wickets for just 31 runs., this left them 160 for 4. But 86 from Mal Loye and 38 from Tony penberthy led Northamptionshier to 229 for 6.

Surrey stated off well with Ali Brown and Ian Ward putting on 68 for the first wicket. Ward was first to go when Tony Penberthy dismissed him for 25. Ali Brown went shortly after for 55 when he was caught by Hussy of Anderson. Mark Ramprakas continued his good form by scoring 44. But the Surrey innings the fell apart with Stewart and Shahid both getting out in single figures. Rikki Clarke then scored 52 but it was not enough to save the lions who were all out for 224.
