Bradford/Leeds record shock victory

Report on the the third day's play, where Bradford/Leeds UCCE recorded a shock win against all the odds especially with a big target in not much time.
Welcome to the Brit Oval, another sunny day today. Play has got underway, with Surrey in trouble. Siddell picked up another wicket, excellently teasing Ramprakash. 172-7 as the bowlers continued to shine. But Clinton and Bicknell tried to keep Surrey's innigns alive, but eventually Bicknell departed. Doshi followed next ball for a duck, leaving only Salisbury. But he was absent so the innings came to an end. Bradford/Leeds need 299 to win, and raced to 19-0 off 5 overs at lunch. The openers were doing well after lunch, making a 50 partnership, before both departing. Bradford/Leeds accelerated well as they needed to. Surrey picked up another wicket, but after this Duffy and Bradshaw took over with a scintillating partnership. Bradshaw was brilliant, smashing boundareis and sixes all over the place. Merilaht also made sure of big partnerships with his own 53. Eventually Bradfrod reached their hard target well, recording a shock victory. Bradshaw ended on 89 not out with 8 fours and 5 sixes.
