Surrey go for Butch

Alan Butcher has been named the new coach of Surrey after Steve Rixon announced he would be leaving.

Butcher had applied for the poison when Keith Medlycott left the club two years ago but was beaten to the position by Rixon. Butcher will leave his role as second eleven coach to take the job with the first team.

Alan will now run the club with his Mark, who is Surrey captain.
