Craig White led Yorkshire to the C and G trophy final with an excellent all round display as they beat Surrey by 10 wickets on the D/L method. White took 4 for 35 and then hit 100 off just 78 balls.

Yorkshire won the toss and decided to bowl. England star Matthew Hoggard then trapped Ian Ward LBW for 2. Things did not get better for the lions as they were reduced to 50 for 3. But 63 from inform Mark Ramprakash helped Surrey reach 173 for 8. There was a short rain break, which meant that the Surrey innings was reduced to 48 overs.

Rain then delayed the start of the Yorkshire innings so they were set a revised target off 167 off 42 overs Craig White then smashed 100 off just 78 balls and he hit I six and 16 fours. He also hit 33 of two overs from Ed Giddens. Yorkshire then reached their target off just 24.1 without losing a wicket. Matthew Wood also hit 57 not out.
