Coming fast on the heels of a fine one-day triumph over Worcestershire's second eleven, the Yorkshire reserve team duly completed a double whammy against their visitors with an innings victory at York. The away team simply failed to find an answer to the Tykes' admirable bowling attack, of which the in-form James Wainman and young Matt Fisher were the pick of the bowlers. Coad and Shaw also bowled with great control on a seamer-friendly surface.
Besides enjoying much success with the ball, the hosts also mustered enough runs to warrant this comfortable win. Ryan Gibson maintained his progress as a mid-order batsman while Jack Leaning recorded the highest innings of a low-scoring Second Eleven Championship contest.
