Colly and Plunkett in test squad against Sri Lanka

Liam Plunkett is set to make his home test debut against Sri Lanka at Lords next week. Both he and Paul Collingwood have been named in a thirteen man England squad today.

Plunkett will face competition for a place in the final eleven from Sajid Mahmood and Jon Lewis whereas Colly's place looks to be certain as Ian Bell has been told he is there as batting cover and will only play if England choose to field just four frontline bowlers.

On the bowling fron Plunkett is widely expected to make his home deubt at Lords and the choice for the fourth seamer to join him, Flintoff and Hoggard will be between Gloucestershire's Jon Lewis and Lancashire's Sajid Mahmood.

Alistair Cook will also make a home debut with his place as number three confirmed.
