In the mud and the sand, on a narrowed pith, Saints fought hard to overcome a dogged Leeds. Our Photographers provide a record of a tight game.

What great conditions...for photography! Another game where the opposition ground us down, but with four points in the bag I'm starting to anticipate the Munster trip even more now.

And a few favourites - Chris White gets ready to receive the kickoff:
What do you mean, throw in not straight?
Fighting a losing battle...
The Amazing Wilson makes a break from the scrum:
Foden almost gets away:
Courtney spills the ball with the line beckoning:
Box kick!

Good shots,Smurf.
Fighting a losing battle...we watched one of the TJ's as he was standing in a soggy spot...he couldn't stand still,he began to sink!
Bridesmaids no more.

Evening everybody,
Wow it was muddy at Headingley - in the first half it was really hard to shoot the match as I gently sank into the mud. I was grateful for a concrete pathway in the second half as it looked even worse at the East end of the ground.
But the weather was fabulous and I had a good match with the big lens. I am getting braver with it but I think it is going to take quite a while until I am totally happy.
My favourites from the match are:

See you next week for the big one!

What great pictures, especially the one of Foden being clutched by his stretchy shirt.
It reminds me of a schoolboy joke:
Q: Who has the stretchiest skin in the Bible?
A: Balaam, because he tied his ass to a tree and walked into Jerusalem...
Boom, boom!
