A short article to acknowledge those kind people who have helped ComeOnYouSaints.com during the 2009/10 season...
COMEONYOUSAINTS.COM
– A FEW THANK YOUS
Well, it’s been quite a season for Northampton Saints!
Second in the table at the end of the regular season, the only English team in
the Heineken Cup Quarter-Finals and of course the not so small matter of the LV=
Cup sitting shiny in the Franklin’s Gardens Trophy cabinet.
Of course, it has also been a busy year for
ComeOnYouSaints.com as well. Consistently one of the busiest sites on SportNetwork
(along with BathRugbyEre), since January COYSDC has averaged over one million
page views a month. Quite an achievement for a small Fan’s Forum!
Time then to thank a few people who have contributed
to ComeOnYouSaints.com this season…

MESSAGEBOARDS
A quick thank you to everyone who has taken the time
to contribute to some lively debates throughout the course of the season.
Thanks also to supporters of other clubs who have dropped in and also to the
many people who just read to keep up to date with the latest news.
THE CLUB
Many thanks to Saints’ Communications Manager, Chris
Wearmouth, who has kept COYSDC “in the loop” as a trusted news outlet when it
comes to new signings and other important Saintly matters.
And finally, thank you to the whole squad of
Northampton Saints at whatever level they play, to the coaching staff and everyone
else who helps make the club tick. Without you lot we would have nothing to
talk about!
Although COYSDC doesn’t sleep and the Editors will be
looking for people to contribute articles over the close season to keep the
site ticking over, may we take this opportunity to wish you all a very pleasant
summer.
Ps. If we’ve
missed anyone out, then it’s all Phil’s fault…

And thanks to you EDs for keeping it going. It keeps me off teh streets. Also good to see so many different people contributing previews and reports; long may it continue.
Yes, thank you Eds. Compared with other sites and their moderators, it is clear that you maintain the balance and tone of this site in a very clear, professional way.
Well without this site, would there be any point of the internet? I'm sure my bosses will be pleased that the off season has finally come so I might actually get some work done for a change.
Thanks to everyone, esp the eds, for keeping COYSDC ticking along wonderfully well.
What, you mean this thing doesn't just run itself?
Get off! You'll be telling me next that there's no Father Christmas!
To echo the others, many many thanks to all who run the site (I wish I had your technical skills), to all the article writers (I wish I had your literary skills), to all the photographers (I wish I had your photographic skills kit) and to all the posters on the board for educating me in the finer arts of rugby, drinking, singing and quantum physics.
Oh, and a special thank-you to RedSaint for causing me to laugh so much, I split my sides (literally) and had to have a hernia operation 3 days before the first trip to Limerick.
shendy Surely the article should be amended to name (and shame?) the editors - don't be shy, take credit where it's due. And it is.
We appreciate the comment, Shendy (and the kind words of others above), but this article is all about those people that have helped make life so much easier for David and myself over the course of the season.
Thanks to everyone associated with the running of the site, and even more, thanks to those that write the previews and match reports I am full of admiration for the knowledge and effort that goes into them.
Bravo everybody, then, but special thanks always have to go to editors - the engineers who keep the whole machine well-oiled, well-greased and running like jelly beans on a trampoline.
Thanks from me too guys. I thoroughly enjoy writing some previews as it gives me a chance to learn more about the opposition and the potential tactics for the game. As for the match reports, I found I was missing too much of the game so left it to the pro's like Howlin with his pencil n post it note .
Back for more next season if you'll have me. Have a great summer all.
Stirling work as always by all so yes, a big thank you. There really is something special happ...(sorry...)
I'm sweating having to just deal with 1 internal Sharepoint site let alone this 'big hairy YAK of a thing' you have here!
Looking forward to next season already.
"sup·port·er"
Noun:
1.A person who approves of and encourages someone or something (typically a public figure, a movement or party, or a policy).
2.A person who is actively interested in and wishes success for a particular sports team.
Well done everyone - thanks to the Eds for all the support they gives us snappers and thanks to everybody who has donated to my chosen charity this year - the Chris Kokta Trust.
And thanks to DrT for getting me that big old lens
