The Old Codgers Quiz Round 5
Old Pete has gone to recharge his batteries (these hearing aids can be a real pain - and don't get him started on the pacemaker!) - so you are left with a wander through the labyrynthine recessess of my serendipitous mind. You will probably need to collaborate on this one - the beginning may not be the best place to start. I'll encourage and give clues!

The shop steward at Longbridge (Birmingham) was Derek Robinson, aka as 'Red Robbo'

Is No1 to do with Ken Dodds rendition of the Road to Mandalay? He hailed from Knotty Ash, a suburb of Liverpool who has the largest Chinese community in Europe.

No.7 As Connect said above, Derek Robinson was the infamous shop steward at Longbridge. And Robinsons is the official soft drink at the Wimbledon Tennis Championship.

No.2 Ken Dodd hails from Knotty Ash, which is just a couple of miles away from Huyton.
Harold Wilson represented Huyton and was the youngest cabinet minister of the 20th Century - being appointed as President of the Board of Trade at 31 years of age.

Aha got it (but i had to look it up) 'Humph' played on the Radiohead track, Life in a Glasshouse. Though i'm still lost on the connection to one half of a comedy duo.
